It Takes a Village To Travel

This time last year I was with my boyfriend basking in amazing weather in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic! When you're heading off to a destination, you have to find out as much as you possibly can! We had a fab recommendation from someone that had initially went to this resort when it first opened. Although they were correct about such items as the beach the rooms and more – there were other things like the food that was a completely different experience! When it's not what you're looking for, a 9 day vacation can be a test of endurance and try anyone's patience.
Before you go on your vacation, find out as much as you can with Trip Advisor and other travel web based review sites. In addition, take the comments to real time but send out a message on your Twitter of Facebook page. When reading the comments take all the positive and the negative feedback and try to figure out the consistent comments that are being said to make up your mind. Refer to a travel agent as well since many of the boutique ones have people that have attended these locations so that they can give you the insider's scoop.
If you still decide to attend your preferred resort and find that it is not at all what you expected, try to see if you can be moved. If not, the fact that you're on vacation, try to make the best out of it. Above is an image of me on the beaches of Punta Cana. Although I wasn't a fan of the food and a number of things that was there, I loved the beach, the trees and the fact that we were out of the city for a few days. It was a great way to wind down but it let me know that we definitely had to do a lot more research. I will be contributing various trips on travel and also insights into places that I have attended to help you with where you will be heading to when you have some free time on your hands. I look forward to chatting and receiving your feedback!
